Can I ask a pro a question before I decide?
Yes. Every proposal has a built-in message thread. Ask anything — what’s included, materials, start date, how they handle changes — and the pro can reply. You stay anonymous: they only see your first name until you accept their bid.
How many estimates will I get?
It depends on your project and area, but you’ll typically receive several. They all land on one page so you can compare price ranges, start dates, and timelines at a glance. Bookmark your private link to come back anytime.
What happens after I accept a proposal?
The pro you chose is notified and gets your contact details so they can confirm a start date. You also get a private project portal to track progress, see photos, review invoices, and message your contractor directly.
Do I have to hire anyone?
No. There’s never any obligation. If none of the proposals are the right fit, you can simply not accept any of them — no cost, no pressure.
Will Getstimate send me marketing?
Only if you ask for it. Marketing is a separate, optional checkbox on the form — leave it unticked and you’ll only ever hear from us about your own project.
