Getstimate is a neutral marketplacethat helps people and businesses describe a project — residential or commercial, of any size — and be matched with independent third-party contractors, tradespeople, and service providers (“Contractors”) who may choose to submit estimates or bids.

Getstimate and Partner are not a construction company, contractor, broker, or agent, and do not perform, supervise, inspect, guarantee, or take part in any work. We are not a party to any agreement, contract, quote, or transaction entered into between a customer and a Contractor. Any such agreement is solely between those parties.

Contractors are independent third parties. Getstimate and Partner do not employ, control, or direct them and are not liable or responsible for the acts, omissions, conduct, workmanship, quality, timeliness, pricing, licensing, insurance, permitting, safety, or legal compliance of any Contractor, nor for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or dispute arising out of or relating to a Contractor’s estimate, communications, or work.

Any rating, match, listing, or appearance of a Contractor on the Service is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee. You are solely responsible for evaluating, vetting, and selecting any Contractor — including confirming their license, insurance, references, and suitability — and for the terms of any contract you sign with them.

Customers who submit requests are likewise solely responsible for their own actions, decisions, and representations — including the accuracy and completeness of the project details they provide, their conduct toward Contractors, their selection of and contracts with Contractors, payment, site access, and compliance with applicable law. Getstimate and Partner are not responsible or liable for the actions, omissions, or representations of any customer or user of the Service.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any estimate is accurate, that you will receive any bids, or that any Contractor or customer is qualified, trustworthy, or will perform.

Estimates are preliminary, not quotes. Estimates and proposals you receive through the Service are preliminary figures prepared by independent Contractors — who may use software tools, including AI assistance, to prepare them — and are not binding offers or final prices. Final pricing, scope, and terms are set only in a written contract between you and the Contractor you choose, and it is the Contractor’s responsibility to verify any figures before contracting.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Getstimate and Partner, and their officers, employees, and agents, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or property, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, any Contractor or customer, or any project or transaction — even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed USD $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Getstimate and Partner from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your project, your dealings with any Contractor or customer, or your breach of these Terms.

We collect the project details and contact information you provide in order to operate the Service and match you with Contractors. Your name, email, and phone number stay private and are not shared with a Contractor unless and until you accept that Contractor’s offer. We do not sell your personal information. By using the Service you consent to your project details being shared with matched Contractors so they can prepare estimates, and to receiving related communications from Getstimate.

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms. Questions about these Terms can be directed to the Getstimate team through the contact options on the marketplace.
